Undergraduate Major: Students in the Criminology Undergraduate program will gain a broad understanding of the socio-political context of crime and the bio-psychological analysis of violent and anti-social behavior. Every major will be required to work on a faculty research project and complete a Senior Thesis.

Master of Arts - Ph.D. Degree: Penn's highly interdisciplinary Ph.D. in criminology combines the traditional concerns of
criminologists with concepts, theories, and empirical research from a wide variety of
academic disciplines. Working closely with faculty, students are encouraged to design their own
curriculum and begin research very early in their graduate education. The program
seeks to produce scholars of unusual breadth who can work creatively in academic
or policy settings.
