Dr Strang is Director of the Centre for Restorative Justice at the Australian National University. Over the past five years she has managed a major research project in Canberra known as the Reintegrative Shaming Experiments (RISE), investigating the effectiveness of a restorative justice alternative to normal criminal justice processing of offenders. She has a special interest in victims of crime, which is the focus of her own research contribution to RISE.
